Through a FOIA request to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, I have confirmed the following kills at Prairie Meadows last year (this is part 2; part 1 here).

Casanovas Racy Miss, Sep 13, racing – “undetermined” (chart: “fell, injured, vanned off”)

  1. How is it that a racehorse can fall and the death be “undetermined”?
It doesn’t sound logical that their team of genius horsemen and veterinarians couldn’t figure that out. It sounds like they are attempting to whitewash the whole morbid incident by not disclosing what type of horror they put CASANOVAS RACY MISS through for their morally depraved entertainment and greed.

When a horse suffers from head trauma, it reflects on the ABUSIVE NATURE of these so-called horsemen! They force horses to perform the daily routine of this greedy industry with equipment designed to inflict pain on the horses. It’s obvious that the horse named MY FANCY MAN was not enjoying the cruelty of being forced to be a racehorse.
