  1. This is why horseracing should be completely against the law!!!!!
    #Endhorseracing
End the cruelty to Thoroughbreds in Florida and every state!

  2. I noticed The tracks, Gulfstream, Tampa Bay Downs and Palm Meadows Trainong Center are “well represented” but nothing from Payson Park T.C.?
    Wonder if they report deaths?

The deaths and suffering are “ho hum” for racing regardless of any “words of grief” that may expressed. Actions are what count, words do not mean anything. The results of their actions are there for all to see in the never ending ugly spectacle of carnage and DEATH day after day.

    • Rose, you always bring up such important points that easily get overlooked.
I’m referring to your question about Payson Park Training Center and if it reports deaths?
NO it doesn’t NONE, NOT ONE of any of the 200+ training centers in the U.S. reports deaths.
I’ve been to Payson Park and I saw plenty of racehorses die there.
Lots of Canadian Trainers stall there over the winter such as multiple racehorse killer Roger Atfield, and Gail Cox.
It’s a training ground for, predominantley, 2 year olds so lots of maiming and killing going on.
FINAL RHAPSODY was trained by Roger Atfield at Payson Park starting as early as 1.5 years old and in his second start as a 2 y.o. at Woodbine, on 9/8/2019, he suffered a horrific breakdown, was vanned-off and subsequently euthanized as posted on this site:
      https://horseracingwrongs.org/2019/09/14/two-kills-at-woodbine-on-same-day/
Which brings me to my next point.
Roger Attfield is 81 years old now, and is minimally involved with the racehorses running in his name.
A program Trainer, more or less, and still killing racehorses.
      His biggest victim was IZVESTIA.
Izvestia’s “career” ended on October 21, 1991, when he had to be humanely euthanized after breaking a left hind leg in three places while competing in the Rothmans International.
A former late groom evidently confessed on his death bed that Roger sent him out to die for equine insurance money knowing that his rear leg was already bad and, supposedly, was soaked in cold water for hours before the race.
It saved Woodbine, the wagering firms millions that day because they didn’t have to pay out on the “favorite” and lots of money was bet on Izvestia.
So just for good measure, for Izvestia dying for money supposedly, in 1999, he was inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame
How nice of Woodbine to send him off with a shattered rear leg, broken in 3 pieces while they laughed all the way to the bank.
Wow no wonder why Roger gets the red carpet treatment at Woodbine and everywhere else he goes because this business supports repeated doping, cheating, and killing Trainers.
      They know nothing else.

  3. Why isn’t some organization working to get an Amendment to end Horseracing on the ballot as they did Greyhound racing?

    • Ramona, I am not the expert but according to what others have said in previous posts, it would cost a bunch of money to get an initiative on the ballot for a vote in just one state, something like $5,000,000.00.
