I’m noticing a lot of family m/child grooming propaganda at Grants Pass Downs in Oregon, and Emerald Downs in WA also. It won’t change the downward trajectory- I think it shows real desperation.

The mother and the son are not wearing shoes that show they actually work with the horse hands-on. I would be less apt to question who does the actual work if they were wearing appropriate shoes conducive to protecting their feet. I think they pay somebody else to do the actual hands-on work with the horse. It looks like the man standing in front of the horse holding him is the man who does the actual hands-on work with the horse. Paying someone else to work with your horse because you are using him to win money does not indicate “love” but quite the opposite. They love the money, the ego trips, and the cheap thrills of a horse they have a monetary connection with crossing the finish line ahead of all the other horses in the race being whipped to run faster.
How does this father, mother, and son team show their love to this horse when it looks like they are putting on a front for their own egos to show off to the people within their social circle?
If they loved this horse, they would not be treating the horse like an object for their cheap thrills. If they loved this horse, they would be like the genuine rescue people who make sure that used and abused horses get the medical care and type of environment for the horse that is conducive to rest and recovery for horses that have been used up to the point where the horse just doesn’t have anything left for people to exploit.
These people are treating this horse strictly as chattel, not as a sentient being. Just like the previous post of the “Drama Queen” who said his winning mare was not his pet, blah blah blah, this man/wife team and their son are not showing genuine love or compassion for this horse.
The question in my mind is: What drugs did they inject into this poor horse to get him to cross the finish line first?
