Through a FOIA request to the Kentucky Racing Commission, I have confirmed the following kills at that state’s tracks in the first half of 2026. Because of the volume, I will be posting in installments (previous ones here).
(It goes without saying that almost all the victims died with stomach ulcers.)
Bruhn, Mar 2, Turfway T
“Complete, displaced pelvic fracture.” Then this: “Previous LH fractures repaired Feb 2025, and RF repaired Feb 2024.” Bruhn was four.

“Multiple open LF fetlock fractures, extensive soft tissue damage.” And: “After euthanasia, a severe laceration was found in RF [other leg] fetlock with tearing of the flexor tendons and annular ligament.” Again, this poor girl was so young she died without a name.
Autism Honor G, Apr 15, Keeneland R
“[Multiple] comminuted fractures [with] severe crepitus of the carpal bones and tearing of the intercarpal ligaments; [other front leg]: tearing of the synovium.” Autism had just turned two, and this was her very first race.
Bourbon Town, Jun 19, Churchill R
“[Multiple] open fractures.” Then this: “Soft tissue damage includes tearing of the flexor retinaculum, the superficial and deep digital flexor tendons, the medial and lateral aspect of the annular ligament, the medial and lateral branches of the suspensory ligament, and the cruciate, straight, and intersesamoidian ligament. The suspensory ligament near the insertion is completely torn and the intersesamoidian ligament is ruptured.” Or, leg destroyed. Bourbon was but two years old.
Aloha Beach, Jun 25, Keeneland T
“Sesamoid fractures [all four limbs].” Again, Aloha, just two and being prepped for her first race, broke all four legs. They added: “Soft tissue damage includes rupture of the medial aspect of the annular ligament and tearing of the intersesamoidian ligament.” Speechless.
BRUHN suffered RIGHT FRONT broken bone (bones?) and was allegedly repaired in ***February of 2024; LEFT HIND fractures (how many fractures?) allegedly repaired in ***February of 2025; complete, displaced PELVIC FRACTURE on ***March 2, 2026.
I wish I/we could do a documentary on this horse and show how he was tortured and abused and tortured and abused and tortured and abused and tortured and abused and tortured and abused to death. Same with all of the horses listed here!
