  1. Wanda as regards that rider driving home 5 hours after injury. we have been there! Fractured 1 & only 1 kidney I have while riding a horse at the track. Fortunate to have a good experienced Kentuckian to bring both our farms horse & ourself back to farm. Only to be life flighted to 1 of 2 level 4 trauma centers in Oregon. 3 weeks in intensive care!! Nurses were not nice! They had just received another fellow rider a couple of weeks earlier & were fed up with injured people showing up at their hospital from the track! Our health care system is not good! If we had known that I had only 1 kidney would have never gone back to riding horses at track. Despite having blood tests for 20 years on record showing our kidney function had changed dramatically, NO ONE called to inform us! Found out the hard way from the very aggravated nurses caring for me. That Kentuckian repeatedly told my family for us to never return ” to the Devil`s den of Iniquity full of evil people, that you could nor trust anyone” Later after we were threatened about training our own farms horses ourselves we left in the fall of 2004 never to return. Glad to see the track redeveloped as an Amazon distribution center now. Truly a life changing moment for us.

  2. Yet, I know of lazy losers who never worked a day in their life …who spent their lazy life going around to tracks. Who could ever respect a man who did NOTHING with his life…but,be a lazy no real job “horse track fly”? And, then have no pride …and brag about going to “soooo many tracks” 🤢….sounds like someone I’ve heard😒 somewhere 🤔

  3. A female jockey was injured in Ohio due to being thrown from and then trampled by the horse she was scheduled to ride in a race on March 11th. She was given the choice to go to the hospital or not. She chose to drive 5 hours to home but instead of taking a hot bath realized she was having “a medical emergency” and went to the hospital. This story shows me that the racing commissioners, the track management, the trainer, the medics at the racetrack are all EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT in their duties and that, even though the jockeys have a choice to participate in racing while the horses are bred for it and are unfortunately completely doomed to it by humans, both horses and jockeys might as well be dirt.
It’s unbelievable that she had a ruptured spleen and alleged fractured bones and wasn’t sent to the hospital in the same town where the racetrack is located. (What drugs did they give her?) It’s unbelievable that she drove five hours with possible life-threatening injuries. She could have had a major accident while driving, but thankfully did not. This is crazy. This insanity needs to be stopped. The lists of horses killed are evidence that the people in this industry are @#$&@#& crazy!

  4. The main event Cheltenham Festival is taking place in the UK. two beautiful horses have been killed so far. One yesterday named Springwell Bay. Today during the big GoldCup race with 22 hurdles to jump the beautiful chestnut CorbettsCross almost at the end, succumbed to injury from the jump. Of course the oh the poor connections and spectators in the stands focusing on the horror. The group like us in the UK of course condemning this yearly show
of fame and fortune. Please civilized countries of the world, end these travesties. Here and abroad and all around.

  5. Deadly sport any updates on oversight agency. Horse racing gambling addiction tears families apart….

  6. The trainers and the veterinarians know that forcing young, underdeveloped, not fully matured colts and fillies to run fast carrying the weight of a whip-wielding rider causes specific injuries and that these injuries are specific to racing.
Inflicting pain and suffering on horses is sadistic. Waiting for a day or longer to put an injured horse out of his or her misery is sadistic.
