Through a FOIA request to the Delaware Dept. of Agriculture, I have confirmed the following kills at that state’s tracks in 2023.

Old West Princess, May 12, Delaware S – “leg caught in door, lacerated tendons”

Three Sport Coats, May 31, Delaware R – “knee fracture”

Oro Solido, Jun 6, Delaware T – “humeral fracture”

John Macarthur, Jul 7, Delaware T – “shoulder fracture”

Pipito, Jul 20, Delaware S – “skull fracture”

Brick Town, Jul 27, Delaware R – “[multiple] fractures”

Lady Liv, Jul 28, Delaware T – “pelvic fracture”

Rogers Ginger, Aug 8, Delaware S – “lacerated tendons”

Trumpence, Sep 21, Delaware R – “accident”

Believe in Lov, Sep 30, Delaware R – “fractured sesamoid”

Takeover Kash, Oct 4, Delaware R – “fractured sesamoid”

yet-to-be-named 2-year-old, Oct 9, Delaware T – “sudden death – suspected heart attack” (again, two years old)

  1. I personally suspect that they know exactly what the cause of death was and who caused it and how they caused the horse to die, but it is an easy out to act dumb.
    It’s similar to the horses that Saffie Joseph Jr. “trained” and this was in Kentucky leading up to the Kentucky Derby when the horses dropped dead “mysteriously” and even one of the CBS News reporters appeared to be protecting him from any real accountability by saying how much money he, the trainer, had won, how much knowledge and experience the trainer had, and if he doesn’t know then…blah blah blah.
    When the need arises to cover someone’s lying butt, just make it all a “big mystery” in horse racing.

  2. Do you pay attention to how you toss trash away? Horses mean as much to these parasites as an empty soda can – they couldn’t care less how these horses died or that they even died at all. Can’t make money off ‘em anymore,not interested.

  3. Is it really possible for these morally depraved people who abuse horses daily to not be able to determine how they killed a horse?
