This from the Gaming Commission on Top Shelf at Saratoga yesterday: “suffered a RF injury during her morning workout; was transported to Rood & Riddle where she was euthanized due to the extent of her injury.” Top Shelf was two and being prepped for her first race. She becomes the 9th kill at Saratoga this summer.

This depraved industry can easily sweep the death of this immature young filly under the rug because they only care about the millions of dollars that were bet on the horses that were entered in races. Supposedly, there were 1 million fans and $905 Million bet on the horses at the Saratoga summer race meet. It’s obvious where their priorities are and people should stop supporting this horse-killing meat grinder racetrack.
