Tragically and with regularity the death count increases and the industry continues to practice and profit from the felonious abuse of race horses because state and federal legislators are not being replaced at re-election time. Every day the atrocities against race horses increase and the death count is ignored. Moreover the industry glorifies the sport by using absurd propaganda to get away with their putrid crimes. The latest attempt to boost their image is to flatter the next generation. Example: on Facebook The Real Players/Inside the Backstretch offers a perfect representation of the Next Generation. This video presents a young person being interviewed about ‘pinhooking horses and how she made a success of selling a horse for profit. The young person excitedly described her achievement and referred to the horse as an “It”. Anything that has flesh, bone, water, blood, soul and spirit is not an “It”. The interviewee also mentioned the University of Kentucky….my question what is the U of K teaching these students when they graduate and come out of school with the attitude and vocabulary that a horse is an “It”? And, the next question: why are taxpayers subsidizing educational institutions who hire moronic teachers to instruct the next generation on life and principles?
