The Ambulance Report

The following horses were injured in U.S. races last week and had to be removed from the track by “equine ambulance.” While fates remain unknown at this time, please know we will eventually get kill confirmations on many if not most via our FOIA reporting.

Nelle Tue Mani at Louisiana
I’m the Devil at Thistledown
Found My Ball at Canterbury
Kid Billy at Saratoga
Silver Town at Ellis
Mind Boggling at Monmouth (also fell)
This Iz My Time at Prairie
Sheer Will at Saratoga
Highcardforapoke at Albuquerque
Happy Strike at Prairie
Irina’s Charm at Ellis (“went wrong”)
Big Timer at Gulfstream
Zaddy at Mountaineer
Tee Ball at North Dakota
Ante Up Tony at Prairie
Almighty One at Saratoga

And then there were these, not reported as ambulanced but…

C R Zara “bled” at Horseshoe
Captured “hit rail, DNF” at Horseshoe
Cherokee Stone “bled” at Retama

Note: “bled” is shorthand for pulmonary hemorrhage.

For any new confirmed kills from last week, see our running annual list.

  1. To losers like Wanda Diamond and those bleeding hearts, I see NONE of YOU at AUCTION to save any horses. I have owned horses and they leave a very good life. There are people who abuse their children, are you willing to round all of them up and lock them up? I read these posts and life happens. Most people in horse racing are hardworking and love the game. They love horses and they love what they do. Your site is one sided liberal trash. I wish you would go to NYC and ask that POS Mayor what is going to happen to all those horses no longer needed for work in Central Park. He does NOT care about them. If you actually spent time inside the business, you wou realize that MOST are in it for the LONG HAUL and want the best for their animals. FACT

  2. This industry was made for people with no moral backbone because they make money doing the most vile things for money and the pursuit of money.
