Four horses injured in the starting gate??????? This is infamous. Are gate crews hitting these horses with buzzers as they are being loaded into the gate? Video coverage must be implemented immediately for the protection of every horse sent to the post.
Four horses scratched out of a single race indicates something malignant went on and needs remedy and penalties applied posthaste. Or, did one gate person punch one horse and the other 3 horses reacted in fear to the distress of the punched horse? Something or someone riled these horses which caused a chain reaction in the other 3 horses that got scratched. Something bad went down and the public has a right to demand henceforth all gate loadings must have video surveillance.

LADY DELILAH was not included in the race. She magically disappeared as far as the information I was able to gather as of yesterday. As of yesterday, Equibase had not listed SPIRIT OF ESTHER as having been entered in Saratoga on July 25, 2026, let alone what happened to her that day.
Horse Racing Nation left out pertinent details regarding the four horses I mentioned. The replay from Saratoga made Race #2 appear as a four horse race, #1, #2, #3, & #8. There are glaring discrepancies in the information that the track officials are disclosing so that is also definitely more cause for concern.
Since horseracing and the ongoing abuse of horses that inherently goes with racing at Saratoga racetrack and every other horse racetrack in New York State is funded by public money through government subsidies (not to mention the NYS-backed Bond Loan of $450-Milllion to the NYRA), the public has a right to know what really happened to all eight horses.
I don’t even have a clue about how many thousands of racehorses are swept under the rug to tell you the truth, but I have more of an idea than I had prior to about 2019.
Wanda, Lady Delilah wasn’t part of the gate incident. I thought maybe you are on Twitter, as there are multiple videos of the incident posted. As far as I saw- all the horses walked off.

Saratoga racetrack officials evidently want everyone to pretend these four horses:

#5 – LADY DELILAH,
#6 – SPIRIT OF ESTHER, &
#7 – TIMIA
did not ever exist from the way they are withholding information.
