The NYS Gaming Commission has just (today) disclosed a pair of training kills on NYRA tracks. Shiny New Object, they say, broke her humerus at Saratoga a week ago today and was euthanized where she lay. She had just turned two in Feb and was being prepped for her debut. The very next day down at Belmont, Aggelos the Great “collapsed and died at the 3/4 pole.” This poor boy was five – “collapsed and died.”
This is heartbreaking, inhumane and evil. It must STOP.

Since this industry based on Animal Cruelty is allowed to regulate itself, no trainer or owner or anyone else connected to these horses will be punished for Animal Cruelty.
The public needs to know what heinous crimes are being committed against horses. The public needs to know how much money from public funds supports and rewards this heinous cruelty to horses.
