The NYS Gaming Commission reports this for 4-year-old Just Clarity at Finger Lakes yesterday: “Horse expired in his stall after running loose during the overnight a.m. hours.” Left unexplained: how he was “running loose,” why he “expired.” Poor boy.

All horse racing is horrific as most of the horses have painful ulcers in their stomachs and then they’re treated like trash and slaughtered

The tragic, missing thing in all this cruel industry is, that the horses never “scream in agony”. Because of their evolution they can not do that, for the reason that in nature, that noise could be calling predators on their own herd. – Therefore, they just suffer all pain and agony in silence.
I wish they could scream out their pain, when maltreated in their training and on the track in races. – There wouldnt be any racing brutalities. – And not the whole industry either, for that matter. And at least not with their present whip-rules.
The wide public would not let it to take place.
Horses feel pain the way we do, (because they have simular nerve system as ours) but, they never scream their pain out, like we and dogs would do.

The racing industry is a very vicious & nasty business. We have known several good horseman whose horses were deliberately set loose at night at Portland Meadows because of jealousy from their success with their breeding of winning horses. Those horsemen later quit the racing industry completely.
Tragic, heartbreaking and totally unnecessary. For all the fake concerns of the authorities, there will be races all over the US today and no doubt another couple of untimely deaths
It makes you wonder what all those “nice” people who take their kids to the races as an experience, tell those children what is happening when a horse falls, coughing up blood or screaming in agony with broken limbs.
