In the 6th at Churchill May 22, Coco Cool, said the chart, “pulled up then was transported off in an ambulance.” The KY Commission picks it up from there: “After diagnostics were performed, it was confirmed that the horse had suffered a catastrophic injury to his RH leg and he was humanely euthanized.” Coco was four. His primary exploiter: Felipe Salas.
Also at Churchill: Over the course of just 6 days (May 14-22), 9 horses were scratched by the regulatory vet – i.e., their exploiters had every intention of racing them – for being “injured” or “unsound,” another 16 by private vets for being “injured” or “ill,” and 3 horses who were “claimed” (bought) prior to races were subsequently returned to their sellers because they finished said races physically compromised in one way or another.

I agree that this is a clear type of cruelty as most owners do not care about the horse, but just the money it brings in. These people are sick people and need to be fined in the millions of dollars for this abuse!!!
I hope that the cruel sport of racing horses will end. The horses deserve a better life.
Beautifully said Sunny 👏
A PERSON CAN BE JUDGED BY HOW THEY TREAT ANIMALS.
HORSERACING IS A BRUTAL “ACTIVITY/SPORT” AND SHOULD BE BANNED.
IT IS INHUMANE AND CRUEL IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD.
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH US THAT WE FEEL THIS NEED TO ONGOINGLY EXPLOIT ANIMALS.
IT’S SHAMEFUL. SHAMEFUL.
Despicable disregard for these amazing, sentient beings 😡
Horrible existence for such an intelligent species who have so much to offer mankind.
Stop the breeding. End the abuse.
