  1. Jdoe, you’re joking, of course! If the announcer didn’t like being a part of the carnage of horses, he could stop participating in the extreme exploitation and carnage of horses altogether. There are other ways to be involved with horses that doesn’t include putting the lives of the horses at high-risk of injury and death. There are other ways to make a living than to make it sound like it doesn’t matter if horses are forced to gallop at top speed no matter what happens. What usually happens is their bodies can’t match the force.

  2. And how sad that racetrack announcers are forced to be part of the cover up.

    “The rider fell”

  3. He was raced on April 24th and finished second. Less than a month later, they race him again and he breaks down badly and does not finish this 350-yard dash/race.
What kind of a person is the owner who is also the breeder? Breeding, racing, and KILLING horses for a tax write-off? This is not horsemanship! This is moral depravity!

  4. How sad! Another beautiful grey horse broken down. 1/4 horse races are the worst on horses racing we have read because of the terrible fast pace imposed on them all at once. Used to not like night racing at our old Portland Meadows! Towards the end of racing there the track lights would be shutoff after the last race was run. You would end up taking a horse to the backside across the tracks infield in the dark!!
