Since Jan 1, 2014, when Horseracing Wrongs began the unprecedented work of reporting kills in the U.S. horseracing industry, 1,237 (that we know about) horses have perished at NY tracks. That’s 1,237 beautiful, intelligent, sensitive beings sacrificed for nothing more than $2 bets. Are we not better than this, America?

RIP
Bonnie, Oregon holds that same special place with us as well, because of seeing & knowing personally of many horses being abused & dying way too soon in the life they could have had.
It’s obvious that the diehard racing and gambling and horse-doping people in New York State know that what they are doing creates casualties — dead horses.
They know how to cause harm and death to horses. They repeat the process continually. They don’t care that they cripple, maim, and kill horses. They spend millions of dollars. They lobbied for millions of dollars. Over time, it has added up to billions of dollars.
They are arrogant. They say they create jobs. They justify the abuse and the crippling, maiming, and killing of horses for the sake of allegedly creating jobs. Yet they have drained the taxpayers of billions of dollars of public money. They are criminals raking in various forms of subsidies and they continue to kill horses. The diehard racing and gambling thugs belong in prison. That includes Todd Pletcher.
Conversations like this matter because they push the public to see practices that were once simply accepted. If we truly value the intelligence and sensitivity of horses, then transparency and accountability in racing should be the baseline. A country that prides itself on progress needs to demand that horseracing does not reflect its values. Thank you HW.
NY, for me …holds a special place in Hell, because of how MANY I personally know about. Never forgive and Never forget.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬SHUT them down.
