Through a FOIA request to the Virginia Racing Commission, I have confirmed the following kills at that state’s tracks last year.

“Multiple fractures [I counted at least six].” Also: “There are also subchondral bruises/lesions affecting the metacarpal bones. These are common findings and typically associated with repetitive trauma from high-impact training.” “Repetitive trauma from high-impact training” – Black Empire was but three years old.
Oishi, Sep 1, Colonial R
“Complete, comminuted [several pieces], displaced fracture; trauma to the surrounding soft tissues: digital flexor tendon, tendon sheath, suspensory ligament, and intersesamoidean ligament [as] evidenced by shredding, hemorrhage, edema and significant bruising.” Oishi was four years old.

“Found [horse] with an open [through the skin], comminuted fracture of the tibia – several missing pieces.” They added: “The complete fracture is likely related to weakness of the tibia associated with pre-existing stress fractures.” Freaky was six years old.

“Complete, markedly comminuted, moderately displaced, bi-articular fracture of the P1 – fracture resulted in multiple fragmentation.” They added: “The previously-placed P1 transverse screw was not bent or broken.” Armycaptin was nine years old.
I want to read the part where it says the names of the connections of these horses and that every single one of them were charged and found guilty as charged with the heinous crimes they committed against these horses!
I want to know that they are all in jail doing time and never allowed to abuse and neglect horses ever again!
