The following horses were scratched by the regulatory vet (i.e., their exploiters had every intention of racing them) at Ellis over just 4 days (Jul 21-Aug 2) for being “unsound”:

And finally, these from the stewards:
“Word Game was injured in the paddock and scratched.”
“Send Coins returned lame and required the horse ambulance.” (The chart said nothing of this.)
“Twirling Troillet finished 3rd and suffered a post-race heatstroke; placed on Vet List.” (The chart said nothing of this.)
“B B Prince was injured in the paddock and scratched.”
This, too, is horseracing.
The Equibase chart for all horses in Race 2, Assinoibia Downs, August 4, 2025 only have the chart available and NOT THE VIDEO as you suspected, Jdoe.
It is sickening that these so-called trainers are not fined and suspended for attempting to race injured, lame, sick and unsound horses. The punishment should be worse than that!
I have never heard of any slap on the wrist punishment for these horse-abusing thugs for their detestable, despicable, deplorable display of total disregard for the welfare of the horses they are responsible for when they attempt to race injured, unsound, lame and sick horses.
JDoe, Many of the horses we rode in am did not know how to change leads. Those that knew often were sore & did not because of trying to protect a leg. Usually the left lead. So sad for all these horses involved.
