Bleeding Babies

At Sam Houston last evening, 2-year-old Seeking Secrets, says the chart, “was hard to load.” After the race – in which she finished last of 12, 29 lengths back – she was “vetted” and “found to have bled from the nostrils,” and was eventually “vanned off.” Similarly, at Turfway last night, 2-year-old Baytown Shinjuku “had an awkward start with no speed…bled from the nostrils and [was] removed by equine ambulance.” Those poor young girls, desperately trying to tell their exploiters to stop. It’s criminal.

Also yesterday, there were “spills” involving multiple horses at both Oaklawn and Tampa Bay. Of course, no official replays exist. I will update.

  1. Corrupt gambling and sadistic “horsemen” are despicable. I’m not sure what goes on at these tracks today, but I know from one first hand experience in 1971 organized crime was heavily involved. Fixing races, sponging opponents nostrils, etc. Harness tracks run trotters and pacers. The pacers are forced to run in a gait that’s not their natural as babies. Always bothered me.
Thank You to everyone. Keep up the good work !

  2. Sadistic people do sadistic things; forcibly dominating horses to do what human beings want them to do involves a lot of sadistic behavior on the part of these despicable and disgusting human beings.
