  1. How can anyone find it a comfort to think that the racing of horses and the subsequent killing associated with this ruthless industry won’t stop until there are no more horses??? The laws should be enforced but the laws regarding Animal Welfare are ignored by the California Horse Racing Board and any other state that has laws against Animal Cruelty when it comes to racing. If or when horses become extinct, I will not have “comfort”.

  2. In a previous post I noticed that Wanda didn’t carefully read my reply to Fred and Joan,

Fred and Joan, give comfort to your heart, I think that at the rate that horses are dying the industry will implode….no horses, no races. At the rate they are killing horses the farms will not be able to provide enough horses to keep the industry alive.

Wanda evidently thought that it was inappropriate to offer comfort to Fred and Joan and chose to word her comment to my personal message to Fred and Joan to opine that there is nothing comforting about the killing of horses, which leaves the impression I was supporting the slaughter of race horses. I was attempting to comfort people (Fred and Joan and others) who suffer enormous grief when horses are horrifically killed for the entertainment of winning a bet. I hope Wanda realizes her mistake and understands that prayer is also a comfort to those who truly grieve over the treatment horses receive in the horse racing
    industry.

Here is what I wrote and how it could be misinterpreted I can’t fathom.

I concluded with a quote from St. John as to how prayer is a benefit to those who are in grief.

  3. Wanda Wyoming is tough on people as well as cattle too. We have hauled horses through that state. Was never so glad to leave a state except Utah. Both not good states for horses or people in our opinion.

  4. The total disregard for the well-being of the horses is rampant in the so-called cowboy state. It’s deplorable.
