Through a FOIA request to the Utah Dept. of Agriculture, I have confirmed the following kill at Weber Downs, Utah’s only track (six days of racing), last year. Note: This is the very first time I have received information from Utah.
Zoomin for Kisses, May 5, racing
“Broke down.” Right to the point. Zoomin was six years old.

Poor Zoomin for Kisses, not appreciated at the track and also ignored by those who advocate for the end of horse racing. This neglect to notice the death of this horse is a prelude to how indifferent society will be when Gulfstream shuts down and all the farms will be getting rid of the unwanted and unsellable horses left at the farm due to the closure of horse racing.
I condole myself with the reality that what humanity fails to do on behalf of the distressed, the unwanted, will soon be a universal problem, and it won’t be just animals that will be suffering….it will be all humanity….a world that depends on technology rather than agriculture, protection of the land, water, and air quality will be fighting to save their own lives in the not too distant future. Nations that were once neighbors will indulge in animosity which will sour into a world divided and ruined.
