The following horses were injured during races last week and had to be carted off the track by ambulance. While their fates remain unknown at this time, we will eventually get death confirmations on many, if not most, through our FOIA reporting.

Miso Spicy “bled” at Keeneland
Icy Storm “returned lame” at Mountaineer
This is animal abuse! If these beautiful animals are pushed and break legs their lives are over for amusement to some who could care less.
This brutality must stop! It makes me sick to see these magnificent horses get injured and die just because of the greed of humans!
“Fell” is euphemism for “pushed beyond endurance “. So is “returned lame”. “Bled” means the horse was forced and injured.
The long list of names of injured horses in just one week is evidence of a callousness that should be illegal in a humane society.
I never can get used to this abuse.
