The death of a beautiful, intelligent, feeling being at Mountaineer last night, in the cold, terse words of the chartwriter: “Bea Bea Kaz broke down on turn and was euthanized on the track.” As a PS – and almost as a bad joke – the writer added, “taken off in an ambulance.” But of course, for how else to remove a 1,000-pound dead mass from the field of play. Bea Bea was four years old. Her exploiters, Gregory Jensen and Marco Ccamaque, also had her “For Sale” (very cheap: $4,000) immediately prior to her death.

I think they mean “utility trailer” when they say or write “ambulance” in horse racing especially at low tier tracks like Mountaineer.
Oh- and doesn’t this sound identical on Peter Berry’s part compared to the last big fatal wreck there?? “Dear oh dear oh dear”… if there weren’t jockeys involved, I am guessing we wouldn’t hear that.
Another swinging, barely attached, demolished leg. The destruction is unbelievable. I noticed the guy in the white t shirt turn away, and yet, seeing as how he is on the mountaineer backside, he has to be getting used to this? Seems fairly frequent there anymore.
The announcer sounds like he could have had some money bet on BEA BEA KAZ, but if that’s against the rules (if there are any rules regarding staffers placing bets on the horses) then he could have had somebody else place the money down on her to win, place or show. (Like, “Oh, crap, not again. There goes my two dollars…”)
