Yesterday, according to the chart (and as reported on our weekly list), 6-year-old Medalla Match was a “went wrong, transported off via ambulance” at Colonial. She has now been confirmed dead by her trainer, Cherie DeVaux: “After exploring all options to save Medalla Match there just wasn’t one that could ensure any quality of life. Our entire team is heart broken for the beautiful punchy [sic] and sweet mare.” Not only are you complit in your “beautiful, punchy, sweet mare’s” death, Ms. DeVaux, but utterly shameless about it too.

A miscellaneous note: At Delaware Park Aug 1, Dontmesawithme was scratched by the regulatory vet for being “lame in the post parade.” Very next race, Legendaire was scratched for the same thing. Which means these two horses were either injured in the post parade or were sent out to race that day already injured. You be the judge.

  1. All of the things that were done to all of these horses that caused injuries to the horses were done on purpose by the depraved humans. These depraved humans deliberately subjected the horses to the every day abuse and the routine cruelty that is inherent to exploiting horses for racing and wagering.
These morally depraved people got their cheap thrills and now the obligatory shallow excuse that they are “heartbroken” has been given to appease the gullible people who fall for this line and the depravity continues.
