This trainwreck that is horseracing injured a lot of horses. Did anyone watching Saratoga Saturday on television get a glimpse of the horses on this list get bumped around? Did anyone watching think twice about the abuse inherent to this exploitation of horses? Was anyone appalled by it?
CORONA PRINCESS sold at auction for $6,000 as a yearling. She has had a very short “racing career” so far. Her share of the purse was $600 for 10th place in a 10-horse race.
This subsidized abuse of horses needs to be recognized as the Animal Cruelty that it is. People should not be able to exploit horses and mistreat them for financial gain in any way.
