A Second Kill Friday at Golden Gate

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed a change in the way some of the “vanned” are being reported: “transported off via equine ambulance.” I imagine this comes down from HISA, and I imagine they think it somehow sounds better. It doesn’t. In any event, one of those “transported off” Friday has now been confirmed dead: J D’s Rude Boy at Golden Gate. Yes, that makes it two kills that day at that on-the-verge-of-oblivion track. May they be the last. J D’s was four years old.

  1. These money grubbers won’t be mentioning the names of the horses they ruthlessly killed at Golden Gate Killing Fields in the Paulick Report and the other racing press publications when they are “waxing poetic” about how much they love their horses or their racetrack or complaining about how they didn’t get a “fair” chance to keep doing what they have always done as if there should be no consequences for their morally depraved choices.
