By bush tracks, I was thinking of unregulated races that are not recorded on Equibase.
Her Equibase record shows that she was raced June 20th & 28th in 2022 and once again on September 18, 2023 at Grants Pass in maiden races, before being raced at Pocatello Downs.
All tracks in the NW are bush league bull ring 1/2 mile affairs now with the exception of Emerald Downs which is Native American owned & whose racing is subsidized by casino gaming profits by Washington state law. Poor Diamond Lustre. We cherish every horse we have & go to great lengths to making sure none are ever raced. Chestnut horse was the 1st Thoroughbred mare we started with. We miss you Goldie.
DIAMOND LUSTRE, an Oregon-bred Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare born on April 19, 2017, was a “no factor” in one place on the chart AND
a “vanned off, no factor” in another place.
She was considered the FIFTH place horse in a race consisting of a total of FIVE horses although she did not make it to the stretch. She earned $494 USD, but she DID NOT FINISH this race at Pocatello Downs in southern Idaho on May 25, 2024.
She had been raced at Grants Pass three times and never broke her maiden. She earned $400 for her connections at GP.
Is she alive or dead? The chart gives no other clues about whether she is alive or dead and there is NO VIDEO available. Her total lifetime earnings is $894 USD.
I wonder if they raced her at bush tracks before entering her at Grants Pass??? Or, was she injured at a very young age and given time to recuperate from whatever injuries she may have suffered from???
Trainer/owner Lorenzo Marquez -Campo is living “the dream”??? This is what they call “living the dream”???
Replay of the gray Rivercrest Girl at Lone Star…she was running last and just collapsed on the track. After hitting the ground, no movement or attempt to get up. Last seconds of the video, outrider galloping to the horse to do whatever it is they do after an incident. Whether she was just exhausted or overcome by the heat..undetermined by watching Replay.
