Last Friday, 4-year-old Dardick Vic was killed in a race at Cal Expo. Actually, Dardick had “won” that race and was in the process of being walked off the track by his driver, Lemoyne Svendsen, when his severe, ultimately fatal, lameness became readily apparent. What did Svendsen do? Watch, if you can…

Why is he walking with him lame why not van pik him up toting heavy carriage
This proves that people in horseracing are not required to be very bright. This lack of intelligence and empathy applies to the whole racing industry staff. It took a long time for anyone else to show up to do anything to take the tack off of the horse! (The driver could have started taking the tack off himself. Or, is that against the rules? Is it a rule to make an injured horse walk in harness pulling the sulky until someone else comes up to do something?)
No, in horse racing you walk an injured horse to the dumb***** that should have been running to the horse to do something to help the horse somehow.
This is one of the reasons that I say they’re sadistic. They appear to enjoy seeing a horse suffering in excruciating pain, so here’s an example of prolonging the horse’s pain.
That poor horse! That track looks like a very hard & unforgiving surface even for a harness track. Ironic that there is a human ambulance standing by but none for the poor horse! The horse is the one who could have used the ambulance ride! We have seen this in another view. Patrick`s view shows how incredibly hard that track surface was better. Yes I know that harness tracks are usually firmer than flat racing tracks.
What an idiot.
He’s looking at the leg like, “gee is there something wrong with it?” As Wanda often says – the people in horse racing aren’t horseman. This guy’s a prime example of that.
