Two Kills at San Luis Rey Sunday

The CHRB has disclosed two training kills at San Luis Rey Downs Sunday: 3-year-old Adventuresome and 6-year-old Exceed Speed Limit. For now, all we have is “musculoskeletal” for the former and “non-musculoskeletal” – which typically means sudden death – for the latter. These are kills 10 and 11 on the California new year.

  1. Peter Miller the horse-killer was the trainer for ADVENTURESOME (KY), a Gray/Roan Thoroughbred Gelding born February 24, 2020, in his last race. This young, underdeveloped, immature gelding never broke his maiden and now he’s dead.
Not only should the laws against maiming and killing horses be enforced on this notorious horse-killer, Peter Miller, but also the whole mob of horse-killers and horse-killing enablers which includes the members of the California Horse Racing Board.

  2. Just outside of January, and the CHRB can already boast of their eleven dead racehorses this year? If they keep this up, they’re looking at, oh, say…about 120 kills in 2024.
Says a lot about their brilliant, new Horse Safety measures, doesn’t it?
