2-Year-Old “Found Dead” at Belmont

The NYS Gaming Commission says 2-year-old Yes She Can “was found dead in his stall” at Belmont Thursday “after being treated from [sic] a recurrent/non-healing wound.” First, the he was a she, not that that matters much to the paper-pushers at the Commission. As for that “recurrent/non-healing wound,” it could have been sustained while training Jan 14 (she had yet to be raced). Bottom line, just another dead equine child. For $2 bets.

  1. I agree with you, Rose. It’s a “big mystery” as usual when something is being hidden on purpose by these die-hard horse-killers. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was electrocuted to death in her stall, her prison cell.

  2. “Recurrent/non-healing wound” does not make any sense.
    For her to be “found dead in her stall”she must have shown signs of severe illness. There is more to this death than has bee n reported.

  4. A letter will be on its way to the New York Times regarding this

    poor little girl’s “non healing” wound. This stinks to high heaven. Prosecutors

    need to stop relying on the racing industry to police itself, and start doing

    their damn jobs by enforcing animal cruelty laws. If they did, racing would

    be gone, and the world would be a much better place.
