  1. As a former horse racing fan and bettor, I can say that there aren’t very many bettors who would take odds on horse racing thriving, let alone surviving too many more years. The direction is certainly trending downward each day, what with more and more tracks shuttering as we speak, and the total inability of the product to survive on its own without large monetary subsidies to keep it alive.

Greyhound racing, animal shows such as the Sea Worlds, the circuses and the like are also disappearing from the landscape, as more and more people find animal entertainment rather appalling. – Certainly, it’s highly unlikely that horse racing will enjoy any sort of resurgence in popularity anytime soon. And, yes, and I will bet on that!

Sadly, though, many more horses will suffer until this ‘sport’ is gone for good, but the good news on this Christmas Day is that in 2024 we can expect more and more folks to abandon horse racing as a form of entertainment, along with very few new fans jumping in.

Best wishes on this Christmas day.

  2. In a perfect world it would be a perfect Christmas day to van off every sick human involved with horse racing and rescue and love and take care of each and every beautiful horse..but they still remain to torture and abuse the beautiful horses and that is why we must all continue to work hard to put a stop to horse breeding..horse racing and abuse…until one day it will all be gone

  3. Hopefully, The Stronach Group (TSG) will be breaking down and be struggling financially like they have not struggled before in their existence.

  4. Horse racing is fundamentally flawed. I hope that in the year of 2024 more and more people will comprehend that when horses are bred and exploited for racing that these horses are predisposed both genetically and environmentally to unsoundness, breakdowns, fatal injuries and premature death. This is a reality and I just hope more people will comprehend this and stop supporting the fundamental greed and cruelty that permeates this subculture that occupies space in both the world of “sports” and the world of agriculture.

  5. Thank you Patrick and everyone at Horseracing Wrongs and to everyone who comment, share wisdom and experiences and most of all for compassion, the source of making wrongs right.
May you all enjoy blessings and good health to continue this fight in 2024.

  6. it’s too bad local newspapers don’t report this. I guess that if they did,
the advertising department might step in.

  7. The vile and repugnant horseracing industry continues to maim and kill these magnificent horses. Unconscionable!
Thank you Patrick Battuello and your team for the amazing work you do, you are the voice for these innocent horses.
