Star Sequence, says the NYS Gaming Commission, was killed training at Belmont yesterday – “collapsed, expired on track.” He was but two years old and coming off his very first race. Again, “collapsed, expired on track.”
This, every day, is the U.S. horseracing industry.

Thank YOU, Sandra! Wonderful to see.
Thank you for standing up against this horrendous industry. It’s time to sweep it into the dustbin of history where it belongs. It was so exciting to see your amazing video truck out here at Santa Anita recently — so powerful and educational to those who are still unaware of the horror on the track.
If they cared about their horses, they wouldn’t be callously running them to death. It’s a no-brainer that subjecting young and underdeveloped colts and fillies to this everyday abuse leads to physical breakdowns, internal injuries and death.
Anybody and everybody who engages in this egregious cruelty to horses are bad actors.
