“Vanned Off”: Horse required equine ambulance to get off the track. While not all end up dead, most do, as borne out by our subsequent reporting. “Bled”: pulmonary hemorrhage.

  1. I was given a book “Saving Baby” by Martha Mooney Waltien, who is an active demonstrator in NY. It opened my eyes to the cruelties of horse racing and lack of empathy towards those magnificent creatures. I was totally engrossed in that book that opened my eyes and educated me about that venue. As an animal lover, I wish you success in your endeavors.
