“Possible Spinal Injury/Compression Fracture, Euthanized on the Track”

This from the Gaming Commission for Warrior Nation at Finger Lakes yesterday: “While running in the 8th race, horse broke down with a (possible) spinal injury/compression fracture and was euthanized on the track.” Warrior was five years old; ’twas his third time under the whip. The complicit: Rowland Hancock, Michael Ferraro.

Dead horses every day – this is horseracing.

  1. It looked like running in SLOP.The announcer so candidly noting Warrior went down and said it twice.

  2. I was there. They started out in driving rain and they shouldn’t have run. It was very dangerous to men and horses.
