  1. I hope that those horses made it. Can you imagine racing them in this humidity and heat – throughout the United States!!

  2. They don’t care how they abuse these beautiful horses..its too hot/and humid for anyone right now…but the racing commission thinks nothing of putting those poor horses out in the heat…cuz the only thing they care about is the fast cash they get off of them!

  3. There are no ordinances about heat ? Or do they leave that up to individual tracks. We are in unprecedented heat in many parts of the country. I can’t imagine they would allow racing!!

  4. The temperature for today, Wednesday, July 19th thru Sunday, July 23rd is 83, 87, 83, 83, & 85 in Henderson, Kentucky unless the weather pattern changes. I don’t know what the temperature was back on June 22nd to July 2nd at Ellis Park (Henderson, Kentucky) when the atrocities listed above occurred.
I don’t know what it takes for them to stop racing in the heat. Does it take the jockeys banding together and refusing to ride because they’re dying of heat stroke themselves or what???

  5. The temperature at Evangeline Downs was already 90 with 65% humidity at 11am today. There were 3 scratches so far with no “no reasons” given.
Looks like it will be “let the games begin” while these “decision makers” sit in their air conditioning.
Disgusting people running a disgusting business to facilitate horse abuse even in the extreme.
