Abuse at Thistledown

In the 4th at Mahoning Mar 2, Sierra Diamond was “pulled up and vanned off.” She survived, but in her next two races, Apr 24 and May 30 at Thistledown, she finished last and second-to-last, respectively. Monday, again at Thistle, a witness tells me Sierra was manhandled during the loading process – they pushed her head, jerked her around, etc. And that was just to get her in the gate. She was raced, of course, and finished dead last, again. But this being Ohio, where taxpayer subsidies jack up purses and create first-last payouts, her abusers, Dave and Tina Casalinova, are laughing all the way to the bank.

  1. SIERRA DIAMOND did not finish a race on March 2, 2023 at Mahoning Valley Race Course. She has been raced three (3) times since then all at Thistledown.

  2. Just a matter of time before she “disappears” to the retirement farm grazing and being a happy horse.

    • Isn’t that the truth, Nancy, about what kind of lies these people tell to cover up their moral depravity, as if their moral depravity could ever be covered up.
