A “report” from the Gaming Commission today, for Belmont Jun 25: “horse sustained an injury while breezing…euthanized.” The horse? So young he/she had yet to be named.
This is horseracing.

A young horse not yet named and too young to be forced to run at a full gallop carrying a whip-wielding rider who weighs more than a hundred pounds. But, who in horseracing cares?! The horses are a commodity so they are treated inhumanely and they’re expendable in this egregiously barbaric industry.
Breaks my heart.
Why are media outlets not reporting on these cases All the time, especially since they are terribly chronic problems?
