we all want to know what happens to these horses. we want to know if they died or were sold after accidents we know about at racetracks. we have a right to know. if we dont we need to change the laws to give us the right to know.
As long as horses are exploited for racing, we know that they will eventually become injured to some degree. We know that forcing young and underdeveloped colts and fillies to perform as though they were fully developed, matured adult horses is wrong and morally depraved. It isn’t horsemanship; it’s abuse.
It’s a no-brainer that the racing industry causes harm and death to horses. The suffering inflicted on horses for racing is inhumane and inherent to horseracing. You can’t have racing without having horses that are suffering from human-induced pain and suffering. These horses are casualties of the racing industry and we know that the fact that this industry attempts to hide their ugly side of killing horses does not make this industry look good. There is nothing good about the abuse, brutality, cruelty, maiming and neglect and killing of horses. Take into account that these horses are constantly subject to inhumane treatment from a very young age. It’s sickening how racing takes baby horses and uses them for their own ego trips and cheap thrills to the point of fatally injuring the horses.
If the horses listed here were able to stand and walk into a trailer, they could have been hauled somewhere and most likely transfer of ownership to a killbuyer took place.
A person would have to be very delusional or gullible to believe that the racing industry follows all of the “rules” made for these morally depraved horse-abusing, horse-doping, horse-killing human beings that call themselves horsemen and horsewomen.
Horse racing is extremely cruel for the poor innocent horses
. we all know where these racehorses go. The overwhelming majority of these sweet unloved animals are long ago dead in a foreign slaughterhouse, kill buyers lay in wait to fill their load at every track in the us & racehorse “trainers” are there to help them. without conscience., they even help to load their crippled into the vans, then tell the naive owners “They went to a good home’. ya to be stabbed repeatedly in their flailing heads in mexico (bullets too expensive), or shot in the head in canada. We know where they went. & those fun fates are after the TORTURE they experience being whipped, cattle prodded & packed into the shipping trucks like crated chickens.
Official CHRB response: “Not our job. Go ask (fill-in-the-blank trade group with zero interest in releasing any equine victim information whatsoever to the press and the public).”
That (passing the buck) sounds familiar. It sounds similar to the New York Racing Association paying a consultant to say how fantastic it is going to be to have the State of New York loan them $455 MILLION in State-backed Bonds.
It’s going to be really fantastic, according to the rich and powerful people in the NY horseracing industry and the paid consultant, to direct millions of dollars to some of the richest people in the State of New York (that happen to be horse-abusing, horse-doping, horse-killers) while the working class and their families, including school-age children, must suffer the consequences of this morally depraved greed and misappropriation of funds.
IF you want to know any numbers, well, you have to ask the New York Racing Association because they didn’t tell the consultant all the numbers of real things that make a tangible difference. (Besides, the numbers are a secret.)
That 455 million would be enough dollars to purchase all the chemically contaminated properties in the Palestine train wreck thereby providing some semblance of restoration of damages to that small town. Such a waste of dollars on a dying and increasingly unpopular gambling game.
Speaking of rich and powerful people denying the realities of their respective industries, horseracing is a trainwreck all by its ownself.
