Thistledown Kill

The chartwriter’s rather pithy report on Nevans’ run in the 3rd at Thistledown yesterday: “Nevans was no threat, suffered an injury in mid-stretch, pulled up and was euthanized.” He was six years old; ’twas his 23rd time under the whip.

  1. Yes, but fear not, racing fans: the comically-titled HISA is now eliminating this kind of carnage with all their super-safe safety protocols. Any day now, we’ll start to see a marked reduction in horse killings…
    No, really. HISA just needs a couple more minutes to iron-out the bugs in their miracle cure-for-breakdowns. And sudden deaths. And starting gate carnage. And chain reaction falls… Then, voila! These pesky little horse-killing incidents will finally be a thing of the past. Hooray for HISA!

It’s disgusting that the chartwriters use the terms “no threat” and “foe” and the like to describe the horses while the hands-on horse-abusing, horse-doping, demented, degenerates on the ground are in the process of deliberately causing the injuries and death to the horses. The monsters that call themselves “horsemen” in this horse-killing industry are the threat!!!!
