“Went Wrong, Struck by Foe,” Dead on Preakness Day

The 11th at Belmont yesterday: “Boca Kitten was hustled from the start then taken in hand early, stalked the pace on the outside, vied in the three path around the turn, went wrong inside the five-sixteenths and was pulled up while being struck by a foe then was euthanized on the track.”

“went wrong – struck by a foe – euthanized on the track”

Boca was three years old; ’twas her fourth time under the whip.

  1. Horse-killers don’t stop killing horses. It’s their job. This is outrageous and must not continue to be funded by public funds. Our government should be punishing this Felony Animal Cruelty, not rewarding it!!!!!!!!

    • I agree with Wanda Diamond that public funds should not be used to fund horseracing. Horse killers should be punished by the fullest extent of the law for animal cruelty.

  2. We need people to start protesting in mass numbers! Many people don’t bother .. making our voices known is the only way to make change!!

  3. I’m beginning to feel sorry for these people.
They are missing important human qualities, kindness, appreciation and respect for life.
These qualities are not conditional or species specific and nobody with these qualities can continue to support this cruel business.

P.S. Boca Kitten’s young life was stolen in a most cruel way.

  4. I agree with Rose Smith. People are so cruel to support such a horrible sport as horseracing. They are definitely missing important human qualities..
