Just found a new worst-of-the-worst all-time low, even for racing creeps. What happened in race 4 at Parx today is nothing short of criminal animal cruelty. Game On Girl is/was only 2 years old, and her monster connections have only TRIED to race her a total of three times. In her most recent race (prior to today’s horror show), she was not just a DNF, but a HIT RAIL, FELL, VANNED OFF at Monmouth, three months ago. Apparently that wasn’t enough to finish her off, so they put her through the same hell today at Parx. This time, though, the chartwriter wouldn’t dare note what became of her AFTER her fall. He/she weaseled out of acknowledging Game On Girl’s outcome by simply omitting any reference to that information:
Not, “Fell at the top of the stretch, and walked off under her own power.”
Not, “Fell at the top of the stretch, and was vanned off, just like in her previous race.”
Not, “Fell at the top of the stretch, suffered an injury, and was euthanized on track in the disgusting slop.”
Nope, that’s just too much transparency for the racing abuser criminals in Pennsylvania. Can’t have the taxpayers find out about all the real outcomes, now can we? Best to just leave it at, “Fell at the top of the stretch.” Then, she lived happily ever after. The End.
I don’t know about living happily ever after but she did gallop off. On the replay it looked like she knew where the gap was and was heading there to the barn. Watching the replay though, I have to wonder if at some point so far in her brief career she’s been buzzed with electrical devices. Yesterday’s “bolt” was kind of a slow run out to the outside rail, not a sudden veer out. But I also have to wonder why a horse that is not running from sort of painful stimuli would purposely crash themselves into the rail.
Thanks, Peggy. I won’t watch the video. You’re saying she galloped off toward the barn AFTER her fall? Or with her rider? Either way, the chartwriter should have noted how (or if) she got off the track, but chose not to. What a cretin.
Just read the chart. It says she “lost action”, bolted whatever that means, lost her rider & then continued on and fell in the front stretch. Think maybe she was hurting & could not gallop straight due to some preexisting injury covered up by med.s & so could not gallop straight.The chart says she also ran on & hit the outside rail again before collapsing at the top of the stretch! Feel so sorry for this young horse.
It was after dumping her rider, Kelly. On the replay you can see her hit the rail, but not the actual fall. Then she can be seen running past the top of the home stretch by where the ambulance and tractors park. That being said, the fact that she has done this twice now, should probably mean that she should be ruled off the track now. There was a recent story of a horse doing this twice at Charles Town and he even made ESPN Sports. He has been ruled off. The only problem with this is that Game On Girl did this at 2 different tracks, in 2 different states, and of course there is no continuity from state to state.

Kelly, I just now read the chart, does anyone KNOW is she still alive or no? I see she’s by Kanthoros, they tend to be on the High-Strung side.
I have no idea, and I’m pretty sure racing officials at Parx aren’t going to acknowledge her outcome, even if she survived. They just did the same damned thing AGAIN, in today’s race 4, but with a different kind of horror show: bleeding. And, again, not a word how this horse got off the track. Helps them pretend that the horse’s story ends the second the horse stops/breaks down/falls/is pulled-up/doesn’t finish.
Just keep shoveling those subsidies to racing, PA taxpayers! Who needs education, when you can better spend those funds on so-called agribusiness?
Yes,Kelly…I just read the chart(race 4). My personal feeling is..these are highly intelligent,sensitive ANIMALS, who pick up on the pressure and stress of the situation they are up against,which causes this bleeding and too many to count other issues. I have said it before,and I’ll say it again- END this nonsense,and (people) go get another job..that doesn’t involve using animals as gambling chips.It’s the ONLY way.
