From the NYS Gaming Commission, April 9: “Mac’s Posse fell while breezing…several attempts to stand unsuccessful…determined he sustained severe traumatic back/pelvic injury and was euthanized on [the Belmont track].” Mac’s Posse was three years old and being prepped for his first race.

  1. When will the continual, uncaring killing of horses end?!! — Talk about use, abuse & throw away! — SHAME ON all of you humans who participate in this pastime and SAY NOTHING — SHAME ON YOU!

  2. In order for any type of abuse and/or dying to continue, unabated, there must be silent participants.
    Our biggest enemy is not outspoken, the racehorses biggest enemy is the silent majority.
    The enablers of the abuse are just as responsible as the actual abusers.
