  1. Horse racing casualties range from the little 2-year-old filly She’s a City Girl, yet unraced when she was injured and subsequently euthanized..to Rustler Hustler on this week’s casualties list.

    Rustler Hustler, a seven-year-old chestnut horse. He’s a MSW with 48 starts, 11-10-7. He’s earned $527K…over half a million. Look at his last three races, this stakes winner and earner of .5 million;

    – June 30, he was claimed by trainer Kevin LeBarron for owner Vince Campanella for 25K. Rustler Hustler “drifted wider” in this race.

-LeBarron and Campanella didn’t race him until September 8. They put him in a 5K claiming race…5K, after claiming him one race and over two months earlier for 25K. Rustler Hustler “tired” and was claimed again by trainer Michael Pino for owners Bing Cherry Racing and Scott Zimmerman. (LeBarron and Campanella got what they wanted…rid of the horse)

-then on September 28, Pino and company raced him in a 7.5K claiming race where Rustler Hustler “raced well back” and was vanned off after the race.

From 2 y/o unraced babies to 7 y/o stakes winners, this industry doesn’t discriminate on which horses it uses and abuses. They are all up for grabs.

  2. And how about these FOUR from Indiana Grand Race Course –

    -Candy Waltz, 6 y/o gelding , DNF
-Back Beach Road, a TWO-year-old gelding in his FIRST race, pulled up and vanned off
-Livin N Dabiggtime, a 3 y/o gelding, also required vanning off, in his FIRST race
-Irish Nuggets, just three years old, the little filly broke down and is DEAD

    Indiana GRAND?…I don’t think so.

    • Your information is misleading. I now own Livin N Dabiggtime. He was not injured and is not dead.

      • My information is most certainly not misleading – I reported Livin N Dabiggtime as “vanned off,” not as definitively dead. And as you, his current “owner,” probably know, Livin was raced once more, 18 days later, again at Indiana Grand; again, he was a DNF – “jostled and forced in at the start…dropped far back…eased.” Two career races, two DNFs. Doesn’t bode well, does it? Perhaps it is you, “Alyssa,” who should be more forthcoming here.

  3. Tacticus also suffered a fatal fracture during training at Keeneland the morning of October 4th

  4. TALCO DIES FOLLOWING SURGERY

    10/10/2015

Hronis Racing’s Talco, winner of the G1 Shoemaker Mile this June, died in recovery from arthroscopic surgery, according to a report on Twitter by The Blood-Horse’s Jeremy Balan.

Santa Anita stable notes reported Talco died “a few days ago,” said trainer John Sadler.

Winner of five of 17 races and $543,123 in purses, Talco’s biggest triumph came in the Shoemaker June 13. He was last seen finishing fourth in the G1 City of Hope Mile.

Talco, out of the Diesis mare Trylko and bred in France by Sarl Darpat France, was a $178,858 at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in 2012. He began his career in France before moving to the U.S. in the summer of 2014.

MAY TALCO REST IN PEACE AND MAY THE HORSE RACING INDUSTRY BE SHUT DOWN FOREVER !!
