Big Note Dead at Santa Anita

5-year-old Big Note collapsed and died of “an apparent cardiac event” after yesterday afternoon’s 2nd race at Santa Anita. The complicit: jockey Drayden Van Dyke, trainer Javier Jose Sierra, owner Hugo Catalan, breeder Willow Tree Stud Farm, and all prior connections. From Ireland to California – a short, tragic existence.

  1. “An apparent cardiac event” ! This is a stupid statement !! I seriously wonder what this horse was given in terms of “performance enhancers”. Nobody is interested in finding out because it is a corrupt organization responsible for policing itself !!! Big Note is just one more dead horse.

  2. Big Note labored for his connections since he was just two-years-old..that is a 6 or 7 year old child! The bay gelding then dies of cardiac arrest at FIVE! Think on this…Big Note is whipped to run over 6 furlongs, collapses after having his saddle removed, then is vanned off! What did they do?…make him get up and walk into the van while he’s suffering his “cardiac event”? Picture that racing fans…Big Note had to endure it. Sickening.

  3. It is so sickening. I visit this page often for updates. REALLY wondering how the general public can keep their heads in the sand.
I know – it’s about money. But goddammit, this is just so wrong.
