It is overwhelming…
Thank you Patrick for putting their names in print. Each and every one of them is important and all deserve recognition for their forced service to man. I can only hope and pray they find a loving place to land.
So Big is Better is an Arabian, NOT a TB. Trinniberg wasn’t bleeding internally; he bit his tongue and it was bleeding. He’ll be fine.
I did not state that So Big Is Better is a Thoroughbred. The breed, however, is completely irrelevant.
South Forty ended up at a “rescue” called Fallen Horses. Last month, he was one of 30+ horses that had to be rescued from the rescue, victims of starvation and general neglect. He’s now at Hicaliber Horse Rescue. He’s only 6 years old, for crying out loud.
Thank you for sharing, Charlotte. Yet more proof that not all rescues are rescues.
Speaking of rescue groups. this group does a lot of exposes.

Animals’ Angels (www.animalsangels.org) latest video shows the brutal reality of the horse slaughter industry in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Argentina. Our investigators followed the slaughter horses’ torturous journey all the way from US auctions to kill buyer feedlots and from there to export pens and slaughter plants across the border.

We need everyone who loves animals to be educated as to what is going on at the racetrack.
PETA sent out an email alert this week saying that Ringling Bros is going to stop Elephant show by 2018
40,631 people have already joined their petition to stop Elephant abuse now. When more people are educated about the abuse at racetracks, they can help stop horse racing, too..
