A couple hours ago, I posted our weekly ambulance report. On it was Ebok’s Dream Girl in the 5th at Los Alamitos last night. We now know she is dead. The CHRB is calling it “non-musculoskeletal,” which usually means death by cardiovascular collapse or pulmonary hemorrhage (we’ll know for sure with our FOIA). Ebok’s was five. Her blood-on-their-hands exploiters: breeder Chacon Racing, owner/trainer Angela Aquino, owner Howard Nichols, and jockey Justine Klaiber. For Los Alamitos, this makes kills in back-to-back days (see video of Empressum’s breakdown here), and 14th on the year.
