Witness to a Kill: “I yelled when I saw it and my husband pulled me in to shield my view from the horrific scene.”

According to the chart for the 2nd at Albuquerque May 24, Jes Sinful “stumbled [at] the start, lacked room,” and finished last. The next day, I received the following email:

“I witnessed [Jes Sinful’s] front right leg literally dangle as it broke somewhere (assuming) around the carpus and was able to rotate as if it was just a loose sleeve of a jacket that’s swinging around without your arm in it. He crow hopped twice and then his leg was flopping around six feet in front of me. I watched them euthanize and cart his poor soul away. I left after that. Absolutely horrendous.” – Katelyn Barrientes

All this happened after the finish – the excuse, I suppose, for the chartwriter utterly ignoring it. Katelyn added this in a follow-up: “I yelled when I saw it and my husband pulled me in to shield my view from the horrific scene.” And, she says, there was an “absolutely noticeable limp on front right beforehand – couldn’t have been missed.” She concluded: “This is barbaric.”

Exactly, Katelyn. Thank you for sharing. I will be adding this to other similar stories.
