According to the CHRB, there were training kills on back-to-back days at Los Alamitos this weekend. Saturday, it was 3-year-old Tame the Tiger; Sunday, 2-year-old Cayce in Gray. The former had been raced thrice; the latter was being prepped for her debut. Officially, these are kills 26 and 27 at Los Al this year. But, as this 2024 post indicates, we should take all death data coming out of the Golden State with a huge grain of salt.

To think that a certain person, namely Ed Allred, has to die for the Alamitos racecourse to be closed for racing and Pari-mutuel gambling is a very unpleasant thought.
Ipt is unfortunately only to true because he will never stop this vicious cycle of breeding horses and brutally exploiting the yearlings and two-year-olds for racing and, if these young and underdeveloped fillies and colts live long enough, as gambling chips.
It is still a creepy thought that this die-hard horse killer must die for this racecourse to go out of business.
Those properties are worth their weight in gold! Delmar is beach front and Santa Anita…the views are fantastic.
Wanda, We will all have to wait until the old man owner of Los Alimitos passes. There`s already talk of redevelopment of his property to a higher earning purpose. Can`t hardly wait for that day!
At some point, this racetrack may cease to exist for these die-hard serial killers of horses.
