“Suffered Catastrophic Injury, Euthanized” at Parx

The full chart note for Can’t Stop a Chub in the 3rd race at Parx yesterday: “Can’t Stop a Chub suffered catastrophic injury to her right hind leg in the initial quarter mile, was eased and subsequently euthanized.” And that is that. Next horse (victim) up.

  1. Replay…FOUR horses running in this race. Can’t Stop a Chub bobbling shortly after the bell went off. Maybe not even capable of racing that day or any. A sorry end for the poor horse. Actually, the state of Pennsylvania should concentrate on ending horseracing in the whole state and focus attention on the Septa transportation system and the water main breaks.

  2. I have reason to believe that the management of this disgusting racetrack, Parx, pays their track veterinarian/s to pass horses to race that are on the verge of breaking down because filling the race card today is a higher priority than keeping a horse alive for tomorrow.
