Bruce Levine-trained Ghostbustin, says the NYS Gaming Commission, was euthanized at Belmont Wednesday “after suffering from a prior injury – a suspected pelvic fracture – during a workout.” The Commission did not disclose when said injury occurred, but it’s worth noting that the 5-year-old’s most recent race was last July. Ghostbustin is the 17th (that we know about) horse to die at Belmont this year, 41st in NY as a whole.

RIP, Ghostbustin.
What veterinarian would not have the education and other credentials to know one way or the other if a horse had a fracture in the pelvic region? This ineptitude makes me think of the slapstick comedy shows done by the Three Stooges in the 1930s, except for the fact that this is Animal Cruelty and it is not funny at all.
What horseman would force an injured horse to run? No actual horseman would even think of forcing a horse with a fracture of any kind to run.
What kind of organization allows inept and cruel horse owners and trainers to force a horse with a suspected pelvic fracture to be on the racetrack grounds? The New York Racing Association. Why? Because they have such high standards regarding Safety and Animal Welfare? What a disgraceful joke of an organization!
What kind of regulatory veterinarians are employed in the United States and in New York State?
This is (one of) the most heinous and blatant acts of cruelty to a horse!!!!!
Yes, I am exercising a lot of self-control at this point as far as using a lot of words that some people find offensive. This is blatant Animal Cruelty and everyone of the idiots in charge are GUILTY of torturing a horse!
