Two – Yes, Two – Kills at Santa Anita Sunday

The CHRB reports that two horses were killed training at Santa Anita Sunday: Made Perfect Cents and Crimson Sea. The former had just turned two (and was being prepped for her debut); the latter was but three. That’s two kills on the same day at one of the most celebrated tracks in America. This is HISA’s kinder, safer horseracing.

  3. Thank You Wanda for all you say…now if we could put a stop to this bs everywhere…would not it be a better world….greedy disgusting nasty horrible horse racing people…a beautiful life in hell awaits them all

  4. These horses would be alive if they were treated with respect and kindness.
If any horse racing industry publication ever does an article on how the California Horse Racing Board doesn’t enforce the California Codes and Regulations, especially Section 1902.5 regarding the maiming and killing of horses, I would be shocked. It’s high time they did, but the cruelty to the horses is so much a part of the daily routine mistreatment of horses exploited for racing that they would never do a factually correct report on how the industry accepts the hideous killing of horses, especially very young and immature ones, as part of the, as they call it, game.
Yeah, sure. Kill horses and call it a game. This unacceptable abuse, brutality and cruelty to horses is part of the moral depravity of the people who participate in horse racing and placing bets on racehorses.
